| I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that this is my final entry. I just don't have the drive to write trivial life details on this website. Also the stuff I would write about would sit better in my mind and not on your computer. Suffice it to say this is the first time I'm NOT looking forward to the holidays. I'm generally online, panthergurl202, contact me there if it so moves you. Have a great thanksgiving and all that. | comments: Leave a comment |

| It's really awesome, our new place.
My bed has been customized to be extremely comfortable (feather mattress pad, soft sheets, feather pillows). It's a loft which may take some getting used to. Our carpet (color: iced mocha) makes the area a lot warmer.
We have a fridge, tv, dvd player, and microwave. Still looking for couch + loveseat. | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |
| I had a good day. But I was just awakened by the searing pain in my gums. And I think I just got a lot more swollen. Waiting for vicodin to kick in is one of the worst feelings ever. Well, no...I could be like out of drugs or something. Then I probably would throw myself out the window. I am in p-a-i-n.
Screw wisdom teeth removal. | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |
| Today has to be one of the worst days ever probably.
I had to be out of the house at 6:45 to get my wisdom teeth taken out. The vicodin worked with the other medicine this morning. It's not helping now, my mouth hurts really badly. I can't eat anything except for that nasty soup made out of a powder. I'm sick of television and the computer. My jaw hurts and sometimes I randomly bleed from the holes where my wisdom teeth used to be. Also I was going to have company tonight, but that didn't work out. I'm just kind of sad.

the Wit
(76% dark, 30% spontaneous, 21% vulgar) |
your humor style: CLEAN | COMPLEX | DARK
You like things edgy, subtle, and smart. I guess that means you're probably an intellectual, but don't take that to mean pretentious. You realize 'dumb' can be witty--after all isn't that the Simpsons' philosophy?--but rudeness for its own sake, 'gross-out' humor and most other things found in a fraternity leave you totally flat.
I guess you just have a more cerebral approach than most. You have the perfect mindset for a joke writer or staff writer.
Your sense of humor takes the most thought to appreciate, but it's also the best, in my opinion.
PEOPLE LIKE YOU: Jon Stewart - Woody Allen - Ricky Gervais
AND FINALLY -- after you rate my test with a sweet, sweet '5' -- you must take this test next: The Genghis Khan Genetic Fitness Test. It's not mine, but it rocks.

| Good.
Saw Dana for the first time in a while because she was out of the country. Went hiking. Ate real food with her family. Drove. Ice cream from Tasty Twist. Park. Ice cream from Laingsburg. Party Monster: trippy movie.
It was a lot of fun, though I ended up sleeping during the latter half of the movie because I realized I didn't sleep once today. And I'm really tired. | comments: Leave a comment |
| Today ended up being nice. I spent the entire morning/most of the afternoon making a wedding slide show for the siblings. It's the kind of project that gets designated to the youngest person involved with the wedding because of the technology thing. Anyone could do it really--I don't mind though. It gave me something to do while I didn't have work.
My schedule is easier now that Lukas and Lyle's mom is back from Brazil.
I played tennis tonight with Gailey, his dad, and Garret (sp?). I hadn't really met the latter two before, but I really enjoyed myself. I guess I kind of forget how much I like playing. But I agreed to wake up and play tomorrow morning. Weird. It was good though, I ended up playing a lot better than I expected to.
Then I went to Katie's and watched tv with her and Amelia. It was a good night. I bought some more athletic shorts. | comments: Leave a comment |

| The Killers was the greatest concert I've been to for several reasons:
1.) Seating: 2nd row, center. Good seats. View so close we could see sweat dripping from the singers. 2.) Louis XIV. I hadn't heard of them before but they were very good. CD purchase worthy. Which will take place...when I get around to it. 3.) The Killers are best seen live. Or heard live. And I made eye contact with the lead singer one time and it was a surreal sort of moment. As I said, we were very close. 4.) Free poster/bumper sticker from a random man who only gave them to us. Confusing? yes. Tolerable? more yes. 5.) Outside and a little rainy for a bit which was pleasant. 6.) That guy that came and was awkwardly hitting on Katie and I and tried to take a drag of his cigarette at the point in Mr. Brightside when they said "And now she's taking a drag." He was a winner, he was. 7.) So many dance party shirts. 8.) The BEST reason: The dancing man. I shall do my best to do him justice but he was absolutely the most ridiculous man I've seen in a very long time. Honestly, it was like a person that Katie and I would have thought up.
He wore a dark grey shirt tucked into dark grey jeans. Age: probably late 30's. He had a rolled up orange poncho in his back pocket. He came just in time for the Killers and left before the 3rd to last song. But boy he was a hard core concert goer. Why, he turned to the 13 year old girl next to him at least 12 times, probably more with concert tidbits. His favorite picks were: Sarah McLaughlan and the Cranberries (who unfortunately had not put out another album since 'Bury the Hatchet' because the lead singer had a baby). He had seen the Killers in Detroit and therefore knew the newest song before any of the rest of us. We watched him from his braggary to 13 year old large girl with a dance party shirt on.
And then he began to dance.
And dance like I'd rarely seen since Elvis. Swiveling his hips, twirling his fists in the air, tapping his feet, bobbing his head, shifting his weight to the rhythm...And making witty comments all the while. Why, before the Killers came out, they played opening music that was not their own. He turned around and bellowed amiably, "THIS doesn't sound like the Killers!" His dancing was so conspicuous that Katie decided that it would be a good idea to imitate him. So we did. And the kid that was hitting on Katie did. And his friend did. And then people all around picked up on it, until perhaps "ten rows back, people were imitating him" (said Katie's father, Doug). And just before he left, he turned and shook each of our hands in turn (Sam or Matt [the hit on guy who stood next to us], Katie, and Me). He said his farewells and was off, the merry ghost with the Luau-worthy pelvis. What a ridiculous man.
So all in all it was very good. | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |

| So last night was pleasantly random. At about 4:30 Pat called and invited me to go see Brad Paisley/Sara Evans with him Kel and Wes at Soaring Eagle for free. So I did that and it turned out to be pretty enjoyable. I think I knew about 5 songs. Still a good time even though everyone at the concert looked vaguely alike. Then we gambled. Pat won $500 in 3 card poker so he bought us some McDonalds at around Midnight. I lost a cool 35 cents. But before that I had won $2.50. I just don't know when to quit I guess.

| Yesterday was one of those long-i'm-forcing-myself-to-be-social-even-though-i'm-by-no-means-up-to-its sort of days. Considering that, it went decently.
Babysitting was fun because we did a lot of galavanting around the house shooting eachother and whacking with swords. I ended up committing suicide twice because once I didn't want to continue fighting with just one leg, and the other time, Lukas was about two feet away with a gun, so rather than give him the satisfaction I shot myself in the head. It was a fun time with the boys. Also I don't have to go in til 11ish today.
I hung out with Kelly after work (to get away from my house) and on the way to her house I drove Steve home. It was one of those nice random things to do. Then Kelly and I went shopping for a second. And then we went to some girl Liz's party but at my request we did not stay long. Then Ian's birthday which was fairly entertaining. Laundry detergent was used as paint and shows up glowing under black light. I went home early because I must sleep when I can and it's probably healthier anyway. | comments: Leave a comment |

| I am certain that I will sleep as soon as possible when my job is under control (i.e. the children are at their camps). Except today my break is less than two hours instead of the usual 3. But oh well, they aren't taxing boys and that means an extra $8. Yesterday was terrific. That word looks dumb spelled like that but I checked, two r's, one f. Anyway. I slept in til noon ten which is late for me. I didn't go to church because I was so tired and my mom didn't seem to care. She offered to take me to the beach at around 9:45ish but I fell back asleep and she decided to golf instead. Which was ok, I didn't really want to be cold at Lake Michigan for the duration of my day. At some point, I called Kelly. At another, she called back and I meandered over to her house. Literally, it took like an hour longer than expected. Matt was there, and we all went out and got some steak n shake, then wandered around the mall for a while. *** I just had a very awkward conversation with a carpooling parent about driving arrangements. VERY AWKWARD. One of those where I tried to make a sort of joke that parents would laugh at and he just got mildly weirded out and repeated the last thing he said. *** Anyway, then we met up with Luke and went mini-golfing sort of. We stopped keeping score at maybe hole 2. Then Luke and Matt ended up hitting the golf balls at the highway and we went go-kart racing. Then we all sort of watched What About Bob? and television for the rest of the night. Point of the story- yesterday was entertaining.
And with that, it looks like I'm going to build some plates of waffles for the boys and myself and then drive em to their smart kid camps (seriously, Math camp and Robotics camp...) and then I shall sleep for about 1 hour. | comments: Leave a comment |
